We are now offering both netting of Diamond configuration and also Hexamesh netting, a Hexagon knit bird netting.
What are the features
Netting construction is important and can vary from area to area.
Bird Netting – Mesh sizes vary from 9mm up to 28mm.
Our bird netting is consistent in length and width and were designed for stretching or draping.
UV treated bird netting to give a minimum of 9-10 years use (with proper handling & storage).
Nets are supplied in a specially designed Black UV treated bird netting storage bags and have a repair kit.
The netting has a different colour coded centre or edge line to identify year of manufacture.
The construction of our bird netting gives superior drapability and enhances light permeability.
What is the product
Widths of the bird netting – 1.2 metre up to 12 metres for side or single row coverage.
These are the most common widths for bird netting.Our width 12 metre to 25 metre for cross row covering is also available but forward ordering is required.
For Horticultural use widths of bird netting can be up to 50 metre wide by joining can be offered.Colour mainly White & Black but all colours are possible against forward order of bird netting.
Length of nets – Our standard bird netting is 300 metres but can be shorter or longer against forward order.
Bird control using nets
Having successfully imported bird netting for several years, we are expanding our sales area. Nelson, facing a significant bird problem, serves as an ideal location for testing and monitoring the effectiveness of our netting.
Our nets serve two primary purposes:

Given New Zealand's agricultural nature, vineyards, in particular, often face isolation amid various food sources, resulting in intense bird pressure. Traditional bird control methods, such as scaring devices, have limited effectiveness, and shooting can incur unforeseen costs and complications.
Wax eyes become problematic late in the season, necessitating a smaller mesh size. Our nets, available in widths of 4.2m, 5m, and 6m, offer versatility from floating nets (to avoid picking up pruning) to full dropping with a true 6-meter net. No stretching is required to achieve the desired size.
For comprehensive bird control, we recommend a combination of netting and scaring devices. Full netting is often employed around the perimeter, especially near trees.
When it comes to fruit quality, bird netting proves invaluable in preventing small pecks that lead to diseased and rotting fruit. Our bird netting is easy to handle and comes with a convenient storage bag. Additionally, we offer a wide range of netting placement and recovery machines. Bird catching nets / mist nets (Nylon)
